On March 11 2020 the WHO (World Health Organisation) declared Coronavirus a pandemic. This means that our insurance policies have limited cover for anything in relation to the Coronavirus, such as cancellation or medical cover. It is important that you check the information on the ‘Fact Find’ document which can be found by clicking the (i) button on the cover choice page or in your online customer account.
In the first instance you should contact your travel agent, tour operator or airline and accommodation provider for their advice. You will normally be offered an alternative holiday, the option to change your dates or a refund.
Once you have amended your travel plans please contact us and we’ll amend your Travel Insurance policy to cover the new dates.
Travel Insurance policies do not cover disinclination to travel. You should contact your travel agent, tour operator or airline and accommodation provider to see what options are available to you.

Yes, your Travel Insurance will automatically extend to cover you for emergency medical treatment until you are able to return to the UK. Many airlines are operating emergency flights back to the UK, you should contact your airline to see what options are available to you.
You will still receive the same great cover provided on all our Travel Insurance policies. The only difference we need to make you aware of is that there will be no cover in relation to cancellation or medical cover for Coronavirus with the WHO (World Health Organisation) declaring a pandemic. However, should your holiday plans change again in the future we will be happy to amend your existing policy.
On March 17 2020 the FCO (Foreign and Commonwealth Office) advised against ‘all but essential international travel’ for 30 days. If you are due to travel you should contact your travel agent, tour operator or airline and accommodation provider to rearrange your trip.
As soon as your travel plans have been confirmed we can amend your existing policy to cover your new trip dates.
The FCO (Foreign and Commonwealth Office) have advised against ‘all but essential international travel’ until April 16 2020. This means that Travel Insurance will not cover any travel during this period.
If you have a holiday booked for after April 16 2020 you can arrange your Travel Insurance even with the current FCO travel advice in place.
